Week 3 Day 4

Hello all. I wanted to get my post in for today before I went to bed.

For lunch today I ate an apple sliced thin and dusted with cinnamon and Splenda.

For dinner I ate a can of Progresso Hearty Chicken with vegetables and pasta. As usuall I ate all my meals after taking Ripped Fuel. I also took my vitamins with dinner.

Unfortunately I will be veering slightly from my diet this weekend. I will be in Ocean City, MD for the weekend and we plan on going out for dinner and breakfast on certain days. I plan on doing my workout first thing tomorrow morning. But I don't believe I will be able to post to the blog until Sunday night or Monday morning.

I hope all of you are doing great. Have a wonderful weekend.

Week 3 Day 3

Today is such a dreary day. I wish it were as sunny and warm as yesterday. One good thing was that the pitter patter of the rain gave me such a good nights sleep.

I woke up and burned trash today while it was wet outside. While the trash was burning I stacked some firewood from a tree I cut down 2 weeks ago. My sons rocket got stuck in it, so the only way to get it back was to cut the tree down.

At noon I ate a large navel orange. It wasn't that great. It was very fibrous and not that juicy. I know dinner will make up for it. I came downstairs this morning to find a large lean pork loin in the crock pot covered in sauerkraut. MMMMMMMM!

At 1pm I started my workout with leg, butt and thigh weight lifting.
  • Lateral Lunge with Barbell - 70 lbs - 10 reps
  • Hack Squat - 160 lbs - 10 reps
  • Leg Curl - 95 lbs - 12 reps per leg
  • Leg Extension - 120 lbs - 12 reps per leg
  • Standing Heel Raise with Weight Plates - 45 lbs(each hand) - 15 reps
  • Ankle Flex with Plate - 45 lbs - 15 reps
  • Standing Lunge with Plates - 45 lbs - 10 reps
After my lifting I rested for about 30 minutes while talking to my wife. I then hopped on the recumbent bike.
  • Time - 30 mins
  • Resistance - 6 of 10
  • Distance - 9.995 miles
  • Calories Burned - 262
After all that a nice hot shower felt wonderful.

For dinner I ate a serving+ of pork loin smothered with sauerkraut. I also stole two of my sons french fries. The meal was so good! And I wasn't hungry the rest of the night.

Thank for looking.

Week 3 Day 2

Good Evening. It was a beautiful day and I spent allot of it outside playing in the backyard. We also took a walk out to the open field and launched model rockets with the kids. They love that kind of stuff.

Today was a regular Tuesday for me diet wise. For Lunch I ate a nice ripe Gala apple cut into slices and dusted with cinnamon.

I have to give myself credit. My wife made a large batch(3 doz) of white chocolate, macadamia and coconut cookies 2 days ago. I have not touched them and they look soooo delicious. I think she's taking them to a friends house tomorrow for a play date with my son. Good riddins! The cookies that is.

For dinner I ate a can of Progresso split pea and ham soup. I also stole one of my daughters fish sticks.

As you know both meals were taken with Ripped Fuel and dinner included my daily vitamin.

Tonight while watching Idol I did 150 sit ups and 75 push ups.

Just a reminder. If you want to see what equipment I use and read more about me personally. Check out my first two posts of the blog.

Good luck to all my chubby buddies.

Hello. Late post today. Just got back home and decided to get my post in for today.

Accompanying this was a side of sweet carrots and coleslaw. The whole family then shared a hot chocolate chip cookie sundae. I must admit it was DELICIOUS. I think I might have a glass of wine tonight.

I will be away most of the day tomorrow but I will try to post a belated entry on Sunday if I can't get on Saturday night.

Good luck and have a great weekend.

Week 2 Day 1 - 297 lbs

YAHOOOOOO! I stepped on the scale when I woke up at 6:30am and I weighed 297 lbs. I lost 8.5 lbs in 1 week. I feel spectacular! I couldn't believe it. I weighed myself 3 times to make sure it wasn't a false reading. Here are my week 2 progress pics.

Now for today's report. I lifted weights early today. It was around 10:30am. My routine was:
  • Behind The Neck Press - 70lb - 9 reps
  • Shrug - (2)45lb plates - 15 reps

Week 1 Day 7

Well....I'm excited that another week will be starting tomorrow. I will post my progress pics sometime during the day. But I will be sure to post my morning weight as soon I can.

My day was quite boring. I woke up and had an orange for lunch. After a day of running errands I had a bowl of Progresso Vegetable Beef Barley soup for dinner. Both meals were eaten after taken a Ripped Fuel 5x. I also took my vitamins with dinner.

I think I will have a glass of White Cat wine tonight.

I don't think next weekend will be as easy to stay on track. I will be in Ocean City MD. And I know my family will want to go out for dinner. Or they will want to go to the Dough Roller for breakfast. Thats OK though, cause it's about the long haul, not the day to day.

I'm excited to see how much weight I lost during this week.

Good luck, see you tomorrow.

Week 1 Day 6

I enjoyed my first day of rest today. I don't want to think of my weekends as "days off". But rather days of rest. I want to maintain my eating habits and attitude over the weekends.

I did go to a birthday party today. So I didn't have lunch but ate a plate of carrots, celery and cucumbers with a tbsp. of ranch dip at 1pm. Then I had a 4" x 4" piece of Sicilian peperoni pizza, a very small slice of cake and a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream for supper. Both my veggies and my pizza dinner were eaten after taking a Ripped fuel and waiting the normal 45 mins to an hour. I also took my vitamins with dinner. I must admit I felt very full after eating dinner. I can really tell that my stomach is shrinking.

I don't plan on indulging in any junk food tomorrow. I know I can resist any temptations.

Good Luck!

Week 1 Day1 - 305.5 lbs

Today will be my first progress post for this blog. I will consider it my starting point for my diet. I will eventually use an outlined format for my daily posts. But I want to start out a little less structured.

Here is my first week pics. I will only put up progress pics on Mondays.

I would like to start out with a breakdown of the equipment I use. I don't want anyone thinking that I am at a gym or have some big bucks home setup. I do all my workouts at home on my basic cardio and weight lifting gear. My stuff consists of:
Now I know that sounds like allot. But I bought most of it used or on Black Friday sales.

I weighed myself when I awoke today at 11:30am(worked last night). I weighed 305.5 lbs. I took one Ripped Fuel 5x tablet with a 24oz glass of water. I then waited 1 hour and ate 1 Gala apple with a dash of cinnamon.

I always do my lifting first. It was:
  • Dumbbell Military Press - 20lb - 15 reps
  • Dumbbell Raise - 20lb - 15 reps
  • Front Deltoids Raise - 16lb - 15 reps
  • Lying Cross Shoulder Triceps Extension - 40lb - 6 reps
  • Reverse Grip Barbell Curl - 50lb - 10 reps
  • Forearm Curl - 50lb - 20 reps
  • Reverse Forearm Curl - 20lb - 10 reps
I then rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes. I set resistance at 6 out of 10. At the end I completed 9.612 miles and burned 249 calories.

At dinner time I Again took 1 Ripped Fuel 5x tablet and waited 1 hour. I then ate a can of Progresso Vegetable Soup. After eating I took 2 OneSource Ultimate Men's vitamins(WalMart) with a 24oz glass of water.

I feel really good about this diet and this blog.

Thanks for coming.

FYI

I am looking forward to starting my daily updates on Monday, March 16.

I would like to take this time to establish a few things. I DO NOT profess to be any kind of health guru, doctor or even smarter than a rock. I DO NOT recommend that anyone else try my diet methods. I know that there are numerous ways to diet. I also know that everyone who diets has a story of how to lose weight. This will hopefully be my story of how I lost weight. I would appreciate if all comments be personal thoughts and possibly words of encouragement. I DO NOT want people telling me that I'm doing it wrong. I DO NOT want your workout routine. I am doing it my way.

I am a 34 year old male. I am 6 foot 4 inches and weigh 300 pounds. I have no major medical conditions. I have dieted numerous times in the past only to gain the weight back, plus some. I have worked the night shift(10pm to 6am) for the past 8 years. I am a married father of 2. I own a beautiful home in the country. My yearly income is less than 100,000.

I am only using this blog as a tool to help me keep on track with my diet. I also want a journal of my progress to look back on as I go forward. I have no problems sharing this with the world. As I stated before, this is my first blog, so please bare with we.

Thank You for looking.
